Quality Control Inspector
In this position the ideal candidate will perform routine to complex checks, tests, gauging and inspection of materials, fabrication in progress and finished goods.  The selected candidate will follow job specific Inspection and Test Plans and will record inspection results and prepare test and inspection documentation.

Prior experience working in a steel fabrication environment along with knowledge of welding processes such as MIG, stick and fluxcore would be an asset.  Ideally, the candidate will also be familiar with inspection requirements of ASME VIII, ASME B31.1, B31.3.

            Qualifications:
            The successful candidate will have the following:

  • College or University Engineering Degree
  • Good interpersonal, reporting and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel

Welders
Capable of certification to ASME, Sect IX.  All positions in SMAW and FCAW.  Experienced with GTAW.  Capable of using welding torch & grinder.

Experienced piping welder is preferred.

Duties include preparing raw material (carbon and stainless steel pipe) for welding – includes beveling pipe, then perform either MIG or TIG welding on the strainers.

Must know how to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to fabricate steel components using various cutting, burning and welding equipment while maintaining close work tolerances.
